Rotto is a screen-time tracker for Android with a friendly character. This policy explains what data Rotto uses and what happens to it. The short version: everything stays on your phone. Rotto has no servers, no accounts, no ads and no analytics, and it cannot connect to the internet.

1. Who we are

Rotto is developed by CHIRAG GADHVI. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected]

2. What data Rotto uses

App usage data. With your permission (Android's "Usage access"), Rotto reads how long apps were in the foreground on your device. It only counts time in the apps you choose to track. Rotto does not see what you do inside those apps — no messages, videos, posts, searches or browsing history.

List of installed apps. Rotto reads the list of apps installed on your phone, with their names and icons, so you can pick which ones to track.

Your settings. The apps you track, your notification preferences and whether you have finished onboarding.

Daily history. Rotto saves a daily summary (total tracked time, a score, and time per tracked app) for up to about 30 days, so it can show your trends.

Rotto does not collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, advertising ID or any other personal identifier.

3. Where your data is stored

All data is stored locally on your device, inside Rotto's private app storage. It is never uploaded, synced, sold or shared with anyone — including us. Rotto does not request Android's internet permission, so it has no way to send data off your phone.

4. Permissions Rotto asks for

Permission Why
Usage access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS) To measure time spent in the apps you track.
See installed apps (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES) To show the list of apps you can choose to track.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) To send your daily report and mood-change alerts, if you turn them on.
Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) To re-schedule your reminders after the phone restarts.

You can revoke any of these at any time in Android Settings. Rotto will stop tracking if usage access is removed.

5. Third parties

Rotto contains no third-party advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs. Google Play may collect data about app installs under Google's own privacy policy, which we do not control.

6. Home screen widget and notifications

The widget and notifications show your Rotto score and mood on your own device. Like all notifications, they may be visible on your lock screen depending on your Android settings.

7. Deleting your data
